Amethyst
Amethyst, the mystical purple dream in the crystal realm, is like a chill pill for your soul. This gem has been rocking the spiritual scene for centuries, and it’s no wonder – its magical properties are as captivating as its royal hue.
In the energy game, amethyst is your go-to guru for serenity and balance. Need to calm the chaos in your mind? Amethyst is like a meditation buddy, helping you find that Zen zone. Its soothing vibes also make it a favourite for kicking stress to the curb. Place it under your pillow for sweet dreams, or wear it like a cosmic shield against negative vibes.
Amethyst has its roots in Greek mythology. Dionysus, the party god (obviously drunk on wine), decided to unleash his wrath on a mortal woman. The woman called out to the goddess Artemis for protection. Artemis transformed her into a quartz statue, sparing her from Dionysus’ wine-fuelled rage. Dionysus then poured his wine over the statue (whether this was done out of respect or rage I’m undecided on) turning it a regal purple – and thus, amethyst was born.
Witches have been crushing on amethyst for centuries, and for good reason. It’s a jack-of-all-trades crystal, perfect for enhancing psychic abilities, boosting spiritual growth, and amplifying magical intentions.

Traditional lore also links amethyst with sobriety and clear thinking. Ancient Greeks even believed that drinking from an amethyst goblet could keep you from getting too sloshed – a classy way to party responsibly! Whether you’re seeking spiritual insight, a shield against bad vibes, or just a touch of royal purple glam, amethyst is the magical BFF you’ve been waiting for.
