The Rowan Tree
Meet the Rowan tree, a maestro conducting a symphony of magic under the watchful eye of none other than Brigid herself. Its branches stretch out like arms awaiting a cosmic embrace, its leaves whispering secrets in the wind. This isn’t any old tree in the forest; the Rowan tree is a powerhouse of energy, inviting all who dare to tap into their inner strength and resilience.
Rowan is the motivational speaker of the witch-world, its energy pulsing with empowerment. A veritable hype-girl, it’ll urge you to channel your inner warrior and face your challenges head on (and you’ll feel so supported you won’t even bat an eyelid). With Brigid as its celestial supervisor, the Rowan tree’s magic extends beyond the earthly realm and connects practitioners to the astral plane.
Aside from the Rowan tree heroically saving Thor (that’s right, big bad Thor was stuck in a flowing river until the Rowan tree was able to bend its branches and bless him with enough respite to get back to shore), legend has it that the tree also has an innate ability to ward off malevolent forces and stand tall against anything that goes bump in the night. Often its wood is used to craft amulets and charms into magical little bodyguards protecting against unseen threats.
So how do you incorporate some Rowan magic into your witchcraft? Well, it’s not rocket (broomstick?) science, you can use the branches, berries, and leaves in your spellwork and rituals. Carve yourself a protective amulet or talisman out of Rowan wood, or (if you’re lucky enough to have one in your area) go and spend some time connecting with it. You might meet a goddess through the wisdom it shares, or even see a faerie!
