Chinese Zodiac: The Dragon

In Chinese astrology, the Dragon is considered one of the most lucky and powerful signs. Brimming with charismatic energy, the Dragon is a symbol of fortune, power, and wisdom.

Dragons are known for their extraordinary vitality and zest for life. Like a fire-breathing force, their enthusiasm and passion is applied to everything! Experiencing a Dragon in full flight can be an intense or overwhelming experience, especially for the more reserved signs.

They’re insatiably curious, which often leads to them exploring uncharted territories and new experiences. Further, their quick wit and intelligence makes them exceptional problem solvers, so they rarely see ‘newness’ as an obstacle but rather a challenge to be solved and worked through.

Dragons are natural-born leaders. Hands down. They’re the ones who end up leading the group assignment, or rallying everyone into a flash mob! Their aura of authority and fearless determination often inspires others to find their own confidence – a Dragon will always encourage us to reach for the stars, and hold us in their loyal and protective nature. They’ll always bring out the best in us.

Arguably the most prominent Dragon characteristic is their charisma. They’re magnetic and warm, and effortlessly attract others with their presence. They’re often the centre of attention at social events!

But like any other sign, it’s not all gold and glory. Dragons are prone to being overly self-confident, coming across as egotistic and unwilling to listen to others’ perspectives. It’s very much ‘my way or the highway’ kinda vibes.

They’re extremely strong-willed, and often stubborn. Dragons naturally lean towards inflexibility, so they tend to hold unfairly high expectations of others (note this is simply because they hold themselves to the same, expecting everyone to also perform at the optimum Dragon level).

Typically, a Dragon has very low tolerance for incompetence or slowness. So when things don’t go according to the Dragon’s plan? Their fiery nature can erupt into an impatient temper. Further, because they’re so enthusiastic about discovery and the next shiny thing, they can sometimes leap before looking, leaving a trail of unfinished projects in their wake. They’re nothing if not impulsive!

A Dragon truly stands out from the crowd. This majestic energy brings vitality, intelligence, and the power of influence. The Dragon’s truest essence is to inspire us all to be better, embrace our unique qualities, and shine lucky magic all across the world.
